| Appliance Definitions |
| New In Box/New Out of Box - Self Explanatory. |
| Scratch and Dent - Damaged at Lowes facility. Never been sold or |
| Customer Returns - Scratch and Dent during delivery or installation, refused orders, customer remorse issue, functional issue. Note the majority of Customer Returns are due to Scratch and Dent outside the Lowes facility and remorse issues. Functional issues are usually in the minority. |
| Salvage - Items that cosmetically fall below Scratch and Dent and might not be operational. These load are usually purchased for parts. |

| ** Note on Manufacturers Warranty - These are issued by the individual manufacturers like Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire, LG, Samsung, Maytag, Kitchen Aid, Bosch, etc. Warranties generally start when the appliance is sold for the first time. The individual manufacturers may have rules exclusive to their company. Many of our customers have had good luck in the few instances they had to file warranty claims. The ultimate decision lies with the individual company so we are not in a position to guarantee factory warranties on new and scratch and dent appliances, however, the majority of the claims are usually processed without issues. |
